Gilchrist County, Florida Farmer Murdered.

I resided in Bell, Florida for a while and stumbled on the case of A.M. “Junior” Kelly. After moving from the area I still think about the case and how such a small community struggles to find the answers. Kelly made numerous reports of intruders in his home during the night and stated he feared for his life. Mr. Kelly sold some cows a few days prior to his murder and received a few thousand dollars which is believed to be the motive in his death. There were also signs of struggle the residence but Kelly was unarmed when found. A window also appeared broken (Voyles, 2008).

A reward of $15,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person(s)
responsible for the crime. Sheriff Bobby Schultz can be reached at (352) 275-4748. Lt. Jeff
Manning, a lead case investigator, is at (352) 672-5472. A toll-free tip line is also a viable option, call 1-888-717-9060, or simply call the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office at 463-3410 (Mizell, 2014).

Anyone with information on the murder of Junior Kelly is asked to call (352) 463-STOP (7867). All calls will remain anonymous.
